Who We Are:
Central Jersey Family Health Consortium, Inc. (CJFHC), was originally organized through funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 1988. Established in 1992, CJFHC is a leading private non–profit 501(C)3 organization licensed by the NJ Department of Health and part of a regionalized maternal and child health (MCH) system.
Our mission is to improve the health of women of childbearing age, infants, and children in the region through the collaborative efforts of member hospitals, providers, and consumers.
The Trusted Links: Peer educator training is Funded by the Horizon Foundation of NJ.
Service area: Trenton residents and those who work in Trenton only
Focus:Early prenatal, preconception, and inter-conception health
Health disparities and social determinants of health
Requirements:Train a minimum 50 people to become a Trusted Links
Each of the 50 are required to educate 10 peers (500 total goal)
Pre/post test Training Date:
Trenton Central HS: October 26th
Speaker needed: on health equity vs. equality, social determinants of health, and how various risk/protective factors are related
Presentation time: 12:20 – 1:10pm
Will need 3 questions for the pre/post test
Include an interactive component
