The Lead for Diversity Medical Professional (MP) is a licensed medical care provider who oversees the dispensing of medication to Lead for Diversity staff and student delegates and provides basic medical care to injured and/or ill Lead for Diversity staff and student delegates.

The MP is responsible for providing medical care to Lead for Diversity student delegates and / or staff who report having an illness or pain requiring medical care. The Medical Professional is responsible for reviewing the medical forms for each student delegate and staff member; collecting and storing all of the prescription and nonprescription medication student delegates and staff sharing living space with delegates bring to Lead for Diversity; administering and / or dispensing prescription and nonprescription medication to student delegates based upon the written authorization and dosage information provided by the delegate's parent or guardian, or in accordance to the Lead for Diversity standing orders; maintaining the space provided for the housing of infirm Lead for Diversity staff and delegates; maintaining records of the medical care provided to Lead for Diversity staff and delegates while at Lead for Diversity; consulting with Lead for Diversity program leads about the status of injured or infirm student delegates; and providing recommendations regarding further care.  The MP is part of the Crisis Intervention Team, along with the program leads, Mental Health Professional and Lead for Diversity staff member serving as the Site Security Manager.
